Functions well, but noisy

A kettle is a kettle, appropriate? Nicely, up to a point. We really like the design on this, and the purple illumination is eye-catching, particularly in an unlit kitchen area. But as it will come to the boil, it is genuinely loud! Breville should have packed a pair of ear-plugs with it! But it operates well and boils speedily.
